Are You Successful In Core Values Beliefs And Risks

20121110-094242.jpg

Respect? Achievements? Money?
Respect from others!

Respect is the meaning of success. If you can get all three, that’s fulfillment. Some rarely get two and obtain it for a long time. Where do we go wrong? There are always stumbling blocks along the way. by keeping our core values close by our hearts, written down and visiting them daily, we never lose sight of the next person, place or thing.

Core Values

If we don’t have a core value start from the beginning i.e., being there to tuck our children in at night, our spouses, family, parents or even our dog, Cannot be of service to myself. I must give of myself and not measure success on the achievement or success from others, but how I got There. I know, I was there.

Stop Listen Learn
Take time to HEAR (not see) what you can do for the next person

“Do unto others as you would want them do onto you”. Or how about “Treat others as you would want to be treated” Two great examples of early quotations I was brought up with. I lost track by focusing on providing for my family and not giving to my family.

We Learn Best By Experience

According to Benjamin Bloom’s “Taxonomy of Learning” theory, there are three domains of learning: thinking, feeling and doing. And guess what? Of course, they are all related to memory, but they also involve tying emotions to those memories. When someone gives us advice, the experience usually isn’t emotional. We listen, maybe even try to remember, but unless it evokes a strong feeling, it’ll always just be advice instead of a lesson learned.

Determine Your Personal Values
Some of many personal values

Job Tranquility
Avoid pressure & “the rat race” in job role & work setting

Competition
Engage in activities which pit my abilities against others

Adventure
Have work duties, which involve frequent risk taking

Security
Be assured of keeping my job and a reasonable financial award

Power & Authority
Control the work activities or (partially) the destinies of others

Work alone
Do projects by myself without any amount of contact with others

Help others
Be involved in helping people directly, either individually or in small groups

Physical challenge
Have a job that requires bodily strength, speed or agility

Work relationships
Have close working relationships with groups; work as a team to common goals

Research has shown that being in touch with your personal values contribute significantly to motivation.

It is very difficult to stay motivated for a job that is either contrary to, or not an expression of ones values.

In fact, clarity of personal values has been shown to be more significant in determining organizational commitment than clarity of organizational values.

Have fun with this exercise and everything you do.

Brainstorm Your Vision And Mission Statement For Goals 2013

20121109-120303.jpg

Begin with a Vision and Mission Statement

Creating both a vision and mission statement will is something that will help ensure that you follow your dreams and achieve the goals that are most important to you. The benefit is that you’ll find it easier to identify and set your goals, and you’ll be more focused in your life. You can use both your vision and mission to help you with important life decisions that need to be made. They provide guiding philosophies that inform our actions and keep ourselves living with purpose.

Mindomo is an online mind map Software where users can create, view and share mind maps in their browser. Mindomo is offering the basic services for free, … Grab the app today!

Brainstorm your ideas today MindTools ….is a popular tool that helps you generate creative solutions to a problem.

The Vision Statement

A vision statement is based on personal values, beliefs and captures our ultimate purpose or calling in life. It involves us envisioning our future and capturing big picture what we stand for and what we see happening for ourselves. It is an overarching, broad based picture of who we are and what we have to offer the world. It does not address the how behind your vision. That is the aim of your mission statement. Both your vision and mission statement are dynamic and not static – overtime they may develop and evolve. Here is an example of one of my own vision statements:
Supporting and facilitating others’ achievement of their dreams and goals, and igniting their passion, self-awareness and confidence for what’s possible.

The Mission Statement

A mission statement follows from the vision statement by outlining the process behind which the vision will be achieved. It points toward the “how-to”, the execution and functions by which your vision will be lived. It is more detail-oriented than the vision statement, and more concrete and tangible. It reminds of whether we are on track or off track with the goals that we set. Here is an example of one my personal mission statements:

To provide others with counselling, coaching, education, tools, resources, life changing insights, and reliable strategies that will facilitate the achievement of their life goals.
Both your vision statement and mission statement will help you to prioritize your goals.

How To Use Facebook LinkedIn Twitter WordPress ActiveRain SEO For Leads

20121108-132218.jpg

eSocial Marketing
“Let The Client Find You”

Coaches say, “Social media marketing should drive traffic to your website, but some social nets are closed off from search engines. Could this be LinkedIn’s or ActiveRain’s secret advantage over Facebook Business approach?” – Mathew Ferrara

Consider Your Approach
“Where would you search and what”?

Fact: No matter how much you post, share or comment inside the Facebook or Twitter networks, your organic content will never be found by anyone searching outside the network.

The key is to do it on the right social networks.

That means LinkedIn, ActiveRain, and Google+ because of its open accessibility to search engines. Imagine every comment, answer, web link or suggestion to a question driving traffic to your website. Suddenly, spending time with others on social media becomes evergreen value for years, a permanent part of the open, world wide web.

WordPress is known for sharing your expertise a

Open Up Forums

Fact: Building relationships with folks online builds character and reputation with an added bonus to get free advertising to millions who are watching.

The key here is “not to sell” but share your experience and product.

If your new or a veteran in the industry, try asking questions. You’ll be surprised to hear what you need to hear. Ask for help! Ask for their experience! But by all means, let others know you had a similar experience.

Warning: Every answer to a question becomes a traffic generator on these networks. So think before your share

“Sellers seek out listing agent (44% of the time) by referral of others based on reputation” – NAR

Now that’s a great way to create low-cost, never-ending social and search engine traffic to your website. Be organic!

Pick Your Word Wisely
Folks are watching

Everyone enjoys the benefits of searchable organic content daily. Successful SEO strategies target simple word combinations. That’s why conversational content works: we don’t search for “Realtor Orlando” but “homes in downtown Orlando” Searched is used like a “bionic ear” to listen to the internet’s ongoing human conversation. We’re looking for other people’s everyday words, comments, testimonials, and answers to help us.

For example

I changed “My Blog” to say Social Media Marketing

I changed my Facebook fan page to say Facebook Marketing

What an incredibly easy way to boost your rankings in the search engines! Be sure to optimize your LinkedIn profile as soon as possible before your next client enters your main keyword(s) and finds your competition.

Promoting Your Blog Feed

It is also possible to import your WordPress “Coaching” blog feed to your profile by searching for the WordPress application. This is a quick way for others to scan your blog content at a glance.

Promote your blog and develop your personal brand. Everyone knows blogs are the best way to cultivate your personal brand. Now you can share your thoughts and insights on your blog on your professional home, LinkedIn.

Let’s take a look at a few groups on LinkedIn:

Social Media Today—18,078 members at the time of this writing

On Startups—Community of Entrepreneurs—123,680 members at the time of this writing

Real Estate Open Networkers—17,795 members at the time of this writing

Can you imagine having access to this many people at your fingertips?

Getting Recommendations to Attract More Clients

Recommendations are one of the unique features of LinkedIn that sets it apart from other social media networks. What better way to really market your business than by having your colleagues and clients share your expertise?

I’m sure your next question is, “How can I obtain recommendations?” The best way is to live by the old adage:

“Give and you shall receive.”

Recommend your peers and they will return the favor. This is one area that I need to work on this year. It doesn’t take that much time, but if we don’t make it a focus, it won’t happen.

Will I be impacted by the new Obama-care Tax and what should I do about it?

20121107-123546.jpg

3.8% Tax Real Estate Scenarios & Examples
Will it affect your business in 2013?

National Association Of Realtors NAR put together a brochure explaining 8 examples how this bill beginning January 1, 2013, a new 3.8 percent tax on some investment income, will effect you.

Since this new tax will affect some real estate transactions, it is important for REALTORS® to clearly understand the tax and how it could impact your clients. It’s a complicated tax, so you won’t be able to predict how it will affect every buyer or seller.

Helpful Hint #1
Educate Yourself

Some investors may consider selling dividend generating investments and moving to tax-free investments since they will not impacted by the new law.

Starting in 2013, impacted investors will need to manage not only their adjusted gross income but also their investment income in order to avoid or minimize this tax.

The new tax raises more than $210 billion (over 10 years), representing more than half of the total new expenditures in the health care reform package. NAR expressed its strongest possible objections, but the legislation passed on a largely party line vote.

Helpful Tip #2
Talk To Your Accountant

Tax Increase: $123 Billion This is a new, 3.8 percentage point surtax on investment income earned in households making at least $250,000 ($200,000 single). This would result in the following top tax rates on investment income:

Courtesy Americans for Tax Reform
The table above also incorporates the scheduled hike in the capital gains rate from 15 to 20 percent, and the scheduled hike in dividends rate from 15 to 39.6 percent.

The new tax is sometimes called a “Medicare tax” because the proceeds from it are to be dedicated to the Medicare Trust Fund. That Fund will run dry in only a few more years, so this tax is a means of extending its life. estimated $210 billion to help fund President Barack Obama’s health care and Medicare overhaul plans — could be relevant to your clients.

Understand that this tax WILL NOT be imposed on all real estate transactions,
a common misconception. Rather, when the legislation becomes effective in 2013, it may impose a 3.8% tax on some (but not all) income from interest, dividends, rents (less expenses) and capital gains (less capital losses). The tax will fall only
on individuals with an adjusted gross income (AGI) above $200,000 and couples filing a joint return with more than $250,000 AGI.

Brochure By NAR 8 Examples

Example 4

Rental Income: Income Sources Including Real Estate Investment Income

Hank has a “day job” from which he earns $85,000 a year. He owns several small apartment units and receives gross rents of $130,000. He also has expenses related to that income.

Another Tip
Consult your accountant. 😉

Happy Selling! Tom
